The legal aspects of buying a property in Turkey are not dissimilar to any other country, however for those who are not residents of Turkey there are some special requirements that have to be done. To make it simpler to understand we have provided a Buying Guide with a little information to ease your mind and some of the rumours past and present about owning a property in Turkey.
Insurance is one of those subjects often overlooked when completing a purchase and unlike some other countries there is a need to have earthquake insurance. This is dealt with at the time the deeds are exchanged and can be purchased for a number of years above the first two initial years. Earthquakes in Turkey are well known in Northern regions along the fault line. Altinkum and the surrounding area has not had a major quake in over sixty years, like Britain and other countries it has had one or two small tremors (not even enough to make a picture fall off the wall).

In addition to arranging this insurance we are agents for major companies across Turkey who can provide accident, fire, theft as well as contents insurance.
